What is Member Month?
CASSS is a not-for-profit 501(c)(6) professional scientific society comprising over 7,000 industry, academic, and regulatory professionals. Years ago, we started the tradition of recognizing March as Member Month. Throughout the month, we highlight who CASSS is and how we can help you and your career. The theme this year: Collaborations of 3.

CASSS' Collaborations of 3
This year, the theme of Member Month is our version of the Rule of 3, which recognizes patterns of sets of 3. Let's explore our Collaborations of 3.
Structure and Membership
CASSS is a non-profit organization, meaning we are comprised of 3 structural components: leadership, staff, and volunteers. Our community is comprised of professionals throughout the biopharmaceutical field, with 3 original membership types: industry, regulatory, and academia. Our membership has since expanded to include 3 more categories: vendors, consultants, and non-governmental organizations/non-profits.
Participating in Meetings
Our meetings bring together professionals for critical discussions to solve technical and regulatory challenges in the field of biopharmaceutical development. These meetings include 3 groups: attendees, program partners, and exhibitors. These meetings are organized by 3 groups of volunteers: Scientific Organizing Committee members, speakers, and panelists.
Professional Development
Through our meetings and partnerships, we consistently offer our community 3 types of opportunities to advance your career, at any stage in your career:
- Share your research through an oral or poster presentation, or
- Become a volunteer or mentor, or
- Exclusively for emerging professionals! Apply for Next Generation Investigator (NGI) Awards and the Emerging Leader in the Advancement of Scientific Knowledge Award (ELAA).
30th Anniversary of WCBP
In January 2026, we gathered with 1300+ attendees in Washington D.C. and celebrated the 30th anniversary of WCBP, our annual Symposium that brings together industry, regulatory, and academic professionals to discuss the role of current and emerging CMC analytical technology among evolving US and international regulatory perspectives. Take a look at the past 30 years of this meeting through this video.
Three Words to Describe CASSS
Throughout Member Month, we will be sharing videos made by members of our community where they share 3 words to describe CASSS. From collaboration and connection, to friendship and empowerment, stay tuned on our LinkedIn and YouTube to hear them share their perspectives.
