Professional Achievement Awards
The William S. Hancock Award recognizes outstanding and sustained contributions to the field of CMC regulatory science. Past recipients have been instrumental in enabling the availability of high quality life-saving medicines derived from recombinant technology on a global basis.
The CASSS Award for Outstanding Achievements in Separation Science honors the history of CASSS since its inception as the Bay Area Chromatography Colloquium in 1983. This award recognizes contributions to the fields of separation science and technology.

Next Generation Grants and Fellowshipsfor Graduate Students, Post-doctoral Researchers and Early Career Industrial Scientists
CASSS recognizes the challenges faced by graduate students, post-doctoral researchers, and early career professionals in launching and navigating career and building a professional network. Through our Next Generation Investigator (NGI) Grants, we encourage and support participation in our conferences and forums with a limited number of travel grants and waived registrations.
The CASSS Frantisek Svec Fellowships for Innovative Studies create future leaders in biopharmaceutical development. By providing resources to graduate students and post-doctoral researchers for the exploration of ‘out of the box’ cross-disciplinary training and innovative learning opportunities in the broad fields of biopharmaceutical science and technology, the fellowship honors and embraces the legacy of Frantisek Svec.
The CASSS Board of Directors recognizes individuals noted for their outstanding contributions to CASSS, our community and the industry overall. These individuals are honored with the title of Distinguished Fellow, bestowed on less than 1% of our members, and offered lifetime membership in CASSS.
