Those of you who know me are aware that I have been blessed to work with associations and professional societies for over 20 years. As you might expect, I am a promoter of and advocate for them, and need no convincing that associations and professional societies are powerful, effective, and valuable to society.

AAPI Heritage Month is an annual celebration that recognizes the historical and cultural contributions of individuals and groups of Asian and Pacific Islander descent to the United States.

When I started with CASSS, it didn’t take long to realize that while CASSS does many things well, perhaps the best thing we do is hold effective, impactful, and well-respected meetings.

Along with dedicated volunteer leaders and a very talented staff team, Stephanie has helped build a strong identity and culture at CASSS as a community of professionals in the field of biopharmaceutical development and regulation.

Diverse perspectives drive better solutions. As black history month draws to a close, we celebrate the significant contributions of black scientists to the field of biopharmaceutical development.

Beyond associations, the International Day of Education reminds us of the role education plays in breaking boundaries between cultures and countries and maintaining peace and equality.

December 27 is International Day of Epidemic Preparedness. This annual event serves as a reminder of the urgent need to have resilient and robust health systems – as well as innovative approaches that will make up the next frontier in CMC and biopharmaceutical development.
