Reservations
A room block is reserved for Forum delegates at the special group rate of 295 CHF for a single room or a double room* (plus 4.20 CHF per person, per night). The deadline to reserve your accommodations is 29 September 2025. The hotel requires a credit card to guarantee your reservation. Individual reservations can be cancelled free of charge up to 7 days before arrival. After this deadline, all nights will be fully charged.

After 29 September 2025, reservations will be accepted on a space and rate availability basis. We recommend that attendees book their hotel accommodations well before the deadline to secure this rate.

NOTE: Check-in time is 3:00pm and check-out time is 12:00pm.

Parking and Transportation
Basel is very walkable and bike-friendly. Uber is limited; Taxis and trams preferred. Suggested apps to download: SBB Mobile (Swiss Trains), BVB Basel (local transit), and Google Maps or Citymapper for navigation. Visit https://www.bvb.ch/de/ for more information. 

Attendees traveling by plane can utilize EuroAirport Basel–Mulhouse–Freiburg (BSL/EAP/MLH, 12 km away) or Zurich Airport (ZRH). EuroAirport Basel–Mulhouse–Freiburg is a unique tri-national airport located in France but jointly operated by Switzerland and France. It has two separate exits. Follow signs for the Swiss sector (“Suisse” or Switzerland) to ensure a smoother connection to Basel and the hotel. Note: The hotel does not operate a private airport shuttle.

The Mövenpick Hotel Basel is very centrally located at Basel's main railway station SBB. From here you can reach the old town or the airport Basel-Mulhouse in a few minutes. Take bus No. 50 directly from the airport to Basel SBB. Service runs every 7–8 minutes on weekdays (10-minute intervals on weekends) and takes about 20 minutes. For Mövenpick guests, this trip is free if you show your hotel reservation/bar code. Taxi/Uber takes approximately 15 – 20 minutes.

Hotel parking is available in the underground garage at an additional charge. Access via A3 motorway, take exit 5 (“Basel City”), then follow the road “12” until Aeschengraben. The Basel “BSL City” highway exit is approximately 2 km away—a quick ±8-minute drive.

Upon check-in, guests receive a BaselCard, which provides free access to local public transport (trams, buses, regional trains) for the duration of their stay. Plus, your hotel booking confirmation often acts as a temporary transport pass—valid for the journey from the airport or Basel SBB to the hotel, until you receive your BaselCard.

By staying at the host hotel, you help CASSS meet its contractual obligations and keep future registration fees reasonable. Please take this into consideration when making your accommodation decisions.
