Friday, March 27, 2026 | Next-Gen Investigator Award Deadline
Last day to apply for a Next Generation Investigator (NGI) Award. NGI Awards are an excellent opportunity for graduate students, post-doctoral researchers, or early career industrial scientists to meet, network, and participate in exchanging knowledge with industry peers from across the world with waived registration and grants to offset travel expenses.

Conveniently situated across from the vibrant sights, sounds, and tastes of Pike & Rose and steps away from the North Bethesda Metro Station, the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center offers a hotel that appeals to all. The hotel features sophisticated guest rooms, oversized flat-screen TV’s, spa-like bathrooms, and a modern fitness center.
Reservations
A room block is reserved for Symposium delegates at the special group rate of $269 USD for a *single or double room (plus 13% occupancy and state tax). The deadline to reserve your accommodations is May 15, 2026. The Bethesda North Marriott & Hotel Conference Center requires a credit card to guarantee your reservation. To make reservations, you may contact: 1 (888) 236-2427 (toll-free number). In the event of a cancellation, the hotel requires 72 hours’ notice to receive a full refund.
After May 15, 2026 reservations will be accepted on a space and rate availability basis. We recommend that attendees book their hotel accommodations well before the deadline to secure this rate.
NOTE: Check-in time is 4:00 PM and check-out time is 12:00 PM.
U.S. Federal Government Rates
A limited number of U.S. Government rate rooms are available. Please contact the Symposium Manager, Randi Jacobs at rjacobs@casss.org.
Parking and Transportation
For local attendees that will drive to the Symposium, parking is available on-site for an additional fee of $2.50/hour or max $30/day. There is a designated parking lot for guests with hotel reservations.
The Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center is located adjacent to the White Flint Metro Station on the Red Line.
Attendees traveling by plane can utilize Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA, 18.2 miles away), Dulles International Airport (IAD, 25.0 miles away), or Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI, 35.9 miles away).
By staying at the host hotel, you help CASSS meet its contractual obligations and keep future registration fees reasonable. Please take this into consideration when making your accommodation decisions.

This 2.5-day program features plenary and parallel tracks, roundtable discussions, poster talks, and networking opportunities that allow you to engage with fellow attendees. CASSS is committed to protecting its attendees, participants, and staff members to the highest degree possible when attending our conferences. To ensure we provide a safe environment, CASSS strongly encourages COVID-19 vaccinations, and all other routine vaccinations to protect you from infectious diseases, serious illness, and hospitalization. CASSS will follow guidances established by the facility hosting the conference and/or local and state health authorities in which the conference is located.
For the safety of all attendees, we expect everyone to take everyday preventive actions prior to, and during the conference, to stay safe and healthy. These actions include, but are not limited to:
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- If you are sick, limit contact with others as much as possible to keep from infecting them.
- Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze.
- Wash your hands often.
Wearing a face mask throughout hotel common space and conference designated areas is recommended but not required.
If you tested positive for COVID-19, have been directly exposed to the virus, or exhibit any symptoms of the COVID-19 virus, you should isolate and not attend the in-person conference. All in-person registrants have access to the virtual platform (if applicable) so you may participate in the conference in a virtual-only manner.

CASSS is committed to monitoring the local status for in-person conferences and will update our guidelines as necessary. Registrants will be informed about any changes through various communication channels, including email and website, as needed.
