Welcome to the CASSS Discussion Groups

Discussion Groups are intended to enable the local area community of industry, academic, and regulatory professionals to meet and share ideas and experiences, thereby working together to resolve scientific challenges in the field of biopharmaceutical development and regulation. The CASSS Discussion Groups are your opportunity to meet others who understand what you do, in an informal setting, and exchange new ideas. Discussion Groups currently take place virtually and in-person in North America: DC Area and North Carolina and Europe: The Netherlands.

Upcoming Programs

Short Course Characterization of Biopharmaceuticals | Rotterdam, Netherlands | 24 October 2024 9:30 - 17:30 CET

This Netherlands Area Biotech (NLab) Discussion Group Short Course addresses the different aspects that are relevant for the extended characterization of biopharmaceutical products according to regulatory guidelines and expectations. The CMC Strategy Forum Europe will take place on 21-23 October 2024 and precedes the Short Course. We encourage attendees to register for both the Forum and Short Course. (Note: Separate registration fees apply for the Forum)

Conjugation Design and its Impact on CMC: Clinical Evaluation and Lifecycle Management of Antibody-Drug Conjugates (ADCs) | Rockville, MD | October 30, 2024 15:00 - 17:00 EST

The impressive versatility of targets, payloads, and conjugation chemistry opens many possibilities to explore new types of ADCs. An ADC molecule is composed of three components: antibody, drug, conjugation (including site of conjugation, chemical reactions, and linker). It is the conjugation that make the whole ADC greater than the sum of antibody and drug.

Join us in person at the IBBR campus where you can network with DC-area CASSS members. The October Discussion Group will be fully in-person. Registration will close October 25, 2024.
