Thursday, 30 July 2026 | Next-Gen Investigator Awards Deadline

Last day to apply for a Next Generation Investigator (NGI) Award. NGI Awards are an excellent opportunity for graduate students, post-doctoral researchers, or early career industrial scientists to meet, network, and participate in exchanging knowledge with industry peers from across the world with waived registration and grants to offset travel expenses.

Join us at the Altis Grand Hotel in Lisbon, Portugal, for CGTP Europe 2026! Altis Grand Hotel is contemporary elegance, refined comfort, and a service of recognized excellence. Set within a historic building, the Altis Grand Hotel is ideally located to reach the lively historic neighborhoods, such as Bairro Alto & Príncipe Real, where you will find the true soul of Lisbon.

Reservations
A room block is reserved for Symposium delegates at the special group rate of €265 for a single room or €285 for a double room* (plus €4 per person, per night). The deadline to reserve your accommodations is 1 October 2026. The hotel requires a credit card to guarantee your reservation. 

After 1 October 2026, reservations will be accepted on a space and rate availability basis. We recommend that attendees book their hotel accommodations well before the deadline to secure this rate. Reservations made under the CGTP Europe block may be cancelled without penalty on or before 9 October 2026. Reservations cancelled after 9 October 2026 will be charged all nights of the reserved stay. If your reservation no-shows or you depart early, your reservation will be charged in full. 

The CGTP Europe 2026 rates include VAT, Wi-Fi internet access, fitness center and pool access, and a daily breakfast buffet available from 7:00 – 10:30 at Restaurant Rio de Janeiro located on the 2nd floor. The tourist tax of Lisbon municipality is not included in the room rate and must be paid directly at the hotel. The tourist tax is €4 per person per night, applicable to up to a maximum of 7 nights (up to a maximum of €28 per person).

NOTE: Check-in time is 4:00pm and check-out time is 12:00pm.

Parking and Transportation
Attendees traveling by plane can utilize Humberto Delgado Airport (Lisbon International Airport LIS, 7 km away).

Altis Grand Hotel offers an airport shuttle upon request for an additional fee. It is recommended to book this service in advance by contacting the hotel guest service email guestservicealtis@altishotels.com.

Hotel parking is available for guests for an additional fee. Parking is subject to availability. 

By staying at the host hotel, you help CASSS meet its contractual obligations and keep future registration fees reasonable. Please take this into consideration when making your accommodation decisions.

Health and Safety

CASSS is committed to protecting its attendees, participants, and staff members to the highest degree possible when attending our conferences. To ensure we provide a safe environment, CASSS strongly encourages COVID-19 vaccinations, and all other routine vaccinations to protect you from infectious diseases, serious illness, and hospitalization. CASSS will follow guidances established by the facility hosting the conference and/or local and state health authorities in which the conference is located.

For the safety of all attendees, we expect everyone to take everyday preventive actions prior to, and during the conference, to stay safe and healthy. These actions include, but are not limited to:

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • If you are sick, limit contact with others as much as possible to keep from infecting them.
  • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze.
  • Wash your hands often.

Wearing a face mask throughout hotel common space and conference designated areas is recommended but not required.

If you tested positive for COVID-19, have been directly exposed to the virus, or exhibit any symptoms of the COVID-19 virus, you should isolate and not attend the in-person conference.

CASSS will follow local guidelines, including the current measures from the State Department Travel Advisory about Portugal: https://travel.state.gov/en/international-travel/travel-advisories/portugal.html#guidance

CASSS is committed to monitoring the local status for in-person conferences and will update our guidelines as necessary. Registrants will be informed about any changes through various communication channels, including email and website, as needed.

FAQs

Will the speaker presentations be available post-program?

Yes, the sessions with approved sharing permissions will be available. Resources will be available 3-4 weeks post-event. All registered attendees will be alerted via email when content is available.

Will I receive any materials as an attendee?

As a registered attendee, you will receive the following: name badge, lanyard, padfolio, and pen. You also have the option to personalize your name badge at registration check-in with custom ribbons to identify your attendee role, such as First-Time Attendee, Committee Member, Associate Director, and more. In addition to these resources, you will have access to snacks and drinks during the session breaks.

Is There a Dress Code?

The dress code we suggest is business casual. Meeting rooms are often on the cooler side, so please remember to bring a jacket or sweater as room and body temperatures do vary.
