Welcome to the CASSS Discussion Groups

Discussion Groups are intended to enable the local area community of industry, academic, and regulatory professionals to meet and share ideas and experiences, thereby working together to resolve scientific challenges in the field of biopharmaceutical development and regulation. The CASSS Discussion Groups are your opportunity to meet others who understand what you do, in an informal setting, and exchange new ideas. Discussion Groups currently take place virtually and in-person in North America: DC Area and North Carolina and Europe: The Netherlands.

Netherlands Area Biotech (NLab) Discussion Group | Pharmacopoeia Approaches | 1 October 2025 | Virtual 

The NLab Discussion Group is the first CASSS Discussion Group located outside the US and enables the local area community to meet and share ideas and experiences. Join Featured Speaker Michiel Paus, Organon Pharma BV, who will present "Chinese vs. Harmonized Pharmacopoeia Approaches: A Case Study on Dissolution Acceptance Criteria". Register by September 29.

DC Discussion Group | Potency Assay for Complex Biologics (Including Cell and Gene Therapies) – How to Make it Robust and Precise | October 14 | Rockville, MD

Virtual Europe Discussion Group | Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) | 13 November 2025 16:00 CEST | Virtual
