CASSS Leadership: Board Nominations Happening Now

An association, by definition, is a group of people who voluntarily come together to solve common problems, meet common needs, and accomplish common goals. What makes associations unique is that the same populations (i.e. the members) are:

• the owners,
• the customers, and
• the workforce.

Within this unique DNA, the Board of Directors are the trustees, selected of and by the owners to lead the organization. Board members are expected to set the organization’s direction, ensure necessary resources, and provide oversight.
