Member Spotlight: Jason Wood, Member of CASSS's Associate Directors, and the Technology Task Force Committee

The CASSS Member Spotlight is an ongoing Q&A series focused on getting to know the CASSS Community. The latest CASSS member spotlight shines on Jason Wood, CASSS volunteer and Market Manager at 908 Devices, Inc.

Q: How long have you been with your current organization and/or position?

I've only been at 908 Devices for a month! But I have a long and storied career in Pharma/Biotech, mostly in LC-MS analysis of biologics.

Q: What was your motivation to volunteer with CASSS?

The people, to be honest. Both within the CASSS organization and its members. I felt such a strong sense of camaraderie that I thought, “I need to work more with that organization."

Q: Where did you grow up?

Niagara Falls, NY, born and raised! And yes, that’s Niagara Falls, NEW YORK. There is an American side to the Falls, not just a Canadian one. You’d be surprised how often I get asked about that! One person (before he completely knew) said, “You don’t look Canadian.” I’m still not sure what that means...
