For the second year in a row, AT Europe 2019 poster winners were announced on the concluding day of the event, March 15, 2019.

This year's AT Europe poster winners were recognized for presenting high quality posters featuring original and impactful biotherapeutics research. The criteria for the award features five main elements: 1) impact of the work to the biotherapeutics or vaccines fields; 2) originality and importance of the work; 3) Scientific creativity and extent of problem solving; 4) Technical quality of the poster (written portion); 5) Presentation quality of the poster content (verbal portion).

Sara Carillo with the National Institute for Bioprocessing Research and Training (NIBRT), and Krzysztof Bielikowicz with Glenmark Pharmaceuticals SA were announced as the winners.

Sara's poster title is "CVA-MS Analysis to Investigate The Effects Of Leachables From Single-Use Bioreactors On Monoclonal Antibodies." Sara had this to say about her poster: "Understanding the effects of biomanufacturing changes, such as the introduction of single-use technologies, is pivotal to preserve drugs safety and efficacy. High data quality native MS coupled with charge variants separation proved to be a tool able to give both ID and PTMs info on biotherapeutics molecule to highlight any deviation from the expected product."

She added: "This study was completely made in NIBRT, from a team of amazing researchers working to understand biomanufacturing industry needs looking at the biomanufacturing facility of the future where single-use technologies will be widely implemented. It’s great to see acknowledged the quality and the impact of this research." To view Sara's poster, click here.

Krzysztof's poster was titled "Non-consensus Glycosylation of ScFv x FAB Bispecific Antibody." He added: "Our poster on the topic of detecting and characterising of so-called non-consensus glycosylation of a bispecific molecule was the first time Glenmark’s Analytical Development team participated in AT Europe symposium. We are very thankful for the award and recognition by the community it represents." To view Krzysztof's poster, click here.
