COVID-19 UPDATE: April 30, 2020

We know that you are working hard to stay safe and healthy, take care of your families, meet the demands of your jobs, and find creative ways to connect from a distance. CASSS is responding by making more content available and working to transition several of our conferences to on-line.

This week we marked the start of our first virtual conference, Bioassays 2020: Scientific Approaches & Regulatory Strategies. We had about 100 participants each day, with informative and active discussion sessions following the talks.  I am grateful to the planning committee, which put so much work into developing this program, and then trusted the CASSS staff to help them to re-structure it into an online event, on very short notice.

The success of this debut virtual conference is encouraging as we seek to ensure that we are able to continue to bring members together to keep sharing their research and insights at a time when scientific exchange is both more difficult and more important to global health.

Our staff and volunteers are also thinking about other programs we can offer you in the short and longer term.  In addition to WCBP and the CMC Latam sessions on demand, the organizing committees of the Washington DC Area Discussion Group (DCGC) and Netherlands Area Biotech Discussion Group (NLAB) have announced plans to hold virtual discussion groups. We're excited about the opportunity to expand access to these programs.  Click on the links for more information.

We are looking for more opportunities to bring scientists together online to participate in the kind of discussions we all need to keep pharmaceutical research moving.  Please let us know what would be helpful to you in the comment section below.

In the meantime, have a great weekend and stay healthy!
