Pioneering a New Future!

It is with great pleasure to invite you to WCBP 2022. The theme for WCBP's 25th anniversary celebration is "Pioneering a New Future". The COVID-19 pandemic brought forward unique challenges for the biopharmaceutical industry. The pandemic brought with it disruption that impacted both our professional personal lives. Our 'return to normal' is a daily reminder that the 'new normal' will be something altogether different than what it was before.

WCBP 2022 will be a celebration of our new future as a biopharmaceutical community. The program will kick-off with challenging our past assumptions based on our learnings over the pandemic years. The discussion will continue with a look forward and consider what this new era of biopharmaceutical development will need to be to meet future challenges. Finally, we will ask ourselves, how will we maintain this pace of innovation in an increasingly complex global environment?

The WCBP Scientific Organizing Committee is excited to welcome everyone, returning and new, for a program that has been two years in the making. For many, the importance of the CASSS community for both professional development and personal connection has only been emphasized by the pandemic. CASSS has been working non-stop to meet these needs by providing a hybrid in-person and virtual experience that is inclusive, interactive and fun!

Please join us for WCBP 2022 and raise a glass either in-person or virtually to celebrate 25 years of WCBP!

Keynote Speaker

Ken Dychtwald, PhD is the Founder & CEO of Age Wave, an acclaimed think tank and consultancy focused on the social and business implications and opportunities of global aging and rising longevity.

CASSS ANNOUNCES VACCINATION POLICY FOR IN-PERSON EVENTS

CASSS’ first priority in all meetings and events decisions is the safety and welfare of our attendees, exhibitors, partners, and team. In order to enable in-person events to take place with lower risk to participants, effective October 1, 2021, CASSS is requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination for admittance to CASSS in-person meetings and events.

This policy is based on guidance and recommendations issued by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other public health authorities. The COVID-19 vaccines approved by the FDA for emergency use authorization and the vaccines that the FDA has fully approved have been determined to be critical in reducing the community prevalence of COVID-19.

Beginning with CASSS’ Board of Director’s meeting November 11-13, 2021, and extending to all in-person meetings and events afterward, all registrants for CASSS meetings or events will be required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination onsite before entering the meeting venue.

CASSS will also require registrants to submit an Acknowledgment of Personal Responsibility Form upon registering for a meeting or event and to comply with any state or local mask mandates in place for indoor events until further notice.

CASSS is working on a technology solution that will enable meeting registrants to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination during the online registration process. The availability of that option will be communicated as soon as possible.

If you have any questions, please contact the CASSS office at 510-428-0740.
