Welcome to the Mass Spectrometry Symposium

The Mass Spectrometry Symposium provides an interactive forum with a focus on mass spectrometry (MS) in the biotechnology industry to share experiences, insights, and novel developments between industry, academia, and regulatory agencies worldwide. The Symposium will communicate best practices and innovative approaches for mass spectrometry applications in biopharma.

    In-Person Attendees

    Join us for the Symposium at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center in Rockville, MD, USA. Symposium registration includes all sessions on September 11-13, 2024, breakfast, lunch, coffee breaks, networking, technical seminars, access to the Exhibit and Poster Hall, Networking Reception, access to the digital schedule which features the final program, abstracts, and presenter’s slides (when made available) and any uploaded e-posters. Registration for the Short Course on September 10, 2024 is an additional cost not included in the Mass Spec Symposium registration fee. Additional information on the Short Course will be available soon. In-person registration will close August 27, 2024.

    The Mass Spec Scientific Organizing Committee is accepting abstract submissions for oral and poster presentation consideration for the following topics:

    • MAM for Product and Process Characterization and Quality Control
    • Mass Spectrometry Technologies for HOS
    • Mass Spectrometry in Cell & Gene Therapy
    • Molecular Design, Developability, and Biotransformation
    • New Technologies, Approaches, and Methods
    • Multispecifics and ADC Characterization
    • Multi-omics in Process Development

    The deadline to be considered for an oral presentation is June 3, 2024.
    The deadline to be considered for a poster presentation is July 8, 2024.

    Health and Safety

    CASSS is committed to protecting its attendees, participants, and staff members to the highest degree possible when attending our conferences. To ensure we provide a safe environment, CASSS strongly encourages COVID-19 vaccinations, and all other routine vaccinations to protect you from infectious diseases, serious illness, and hospitalization. CASSS will follow guidances established by the facility hosting the conference and/or local and state health authorities in which the conference is located.

    For the safety of all attendees, we expect everyone to take everyday preventive actions prior to, and during the conference, to stay safe and healthy. These actions include, but are not limited to:

    • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
    • If you are sick, limit contact with others as much as possible to keep from infecting them.
    • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze.
    • Wash your hands often.

    Wearing a face mask throughout hotel common space and conference designated areas is recommended but not required.

    If you tested positive for COVID-19, have been directly exposed to the virus, or exhibit any symptoms of the COVID-19 virus, you should isolate and not attend the in-person conference.

    CASSS will follow local guidelines, including the current measures from the Maryland Department of Health: https://health.maryland.gov/COVID/Pages/default.aspx

    CASSS is committed to monitoring the local status for in-person conferences and will update our guidelines as necessary. Registrants will be informed about any changes through various communication channels, including email and website, as needed.

    A room block is reserved for Symposium delegates at the special group rate of $254 USD for a *single or double room (plus 13% occupancy tax). The deadline to reserve your accommodations is August 19, 2024.
