The company currently seeks a Product Sales Manager for its West Region to lead the sales effort for its burgeoning line of chemistry related database products.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for sales of chemical and pharmaceutical database products to corporate accounts and prospects in the Western region of the United States.
The winning candidate must:
- Demonstrate technical chemistry based databases to individuals and groups primarily within the pharmaceutical, biotech and chemical markets.
- Formulate territory and sales strategies to achieve revenue growth objectives. Understand customer needs and provide value based solutions.
- Prospect to develop new customers and markets while expanding revenue from an existing customer base.
- Maintain customer contact activity in CRM system.
- Collaborate with Account Managers to insure that mutual targets and objectives are realized
QUALIFICATIONS
- Chemistry/biochemistry degree required with corporate sales experience.
- Industry specific knowledge (pharma, biotech and chemical) desired.
- 50% overnight travel required.
- 3-years experience working in chemistry or chemistry-related industries

Requirements:
- Substantial experience with HPLC applications is required including experience in preparative HPLC.
- Experience with chiral analysis/separations is highly desired.
- Skill in the operation of Agilent's Chemstation and/or Varian's Star or Galaxie software is very highly desired.
- MS or PhD (or equivalent based on experience) in Chemistry and 0-5 years experience.
- An advanced degree in Analytical Chemistry is highly desired.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required.

Responsibilities:
- Apply HPLC methods to assist drug discovery efforts in both analytical and preparative mode
- Develop and apply chiral separation methods as needed,
- Develop new methodologies as needed and to integrate new technologies where appropriate
- Be a resource to the drug discovery effort in our research department.
Requirements:
- BS or MS in Chemistry; advanced degree in Analytical Chemistry is preferred.
- 5 years experience in an industrial lab after graduation.
- Substantial experience with HPLC applications is required including experience in preparative HPLC.
- Experience with chiral analysis/separations is highly desired.
- Skill in the operation of Agilent's Chemstation and/or Varian's Star or Galaxe software is very highly desired.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
